Vietnam Fatherland Front identifies key tasks after new apparatus comes into operation

The Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to lead the effective operation of the new organization, while continuing to review and streamline the apparatus, ensuring smooth, effective and efficient operations at all three levels.

On the morning of June 23, at the Conference to announce the Politburo 's Decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front reported on the results achieved in the past time and proposed key tasks to be implemented in the coming time.

Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations will continue to lead the effective operation of the new organization, while continuing to review and streamline the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State according to the roadmap; perfecting regulations and rules to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operations at all three levels.

Strengthening the gathering and mobilization of all classes of people, ethnic groups, religions, overseas Vietnamese, union members, businessmen, enterprises, etc. to promote the traditional strength of the great national unity bloc; unite and join hands to effectively carry out major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the completion of socio-economic development plan targets, ensuring national security and defense in 2025 and the 2026-2031 period.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front continues to lead the preparation and organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations for the 2026-2031 term. Closely coordinate with the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees to well direct the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations at all levels after rearranging the organizational apparatus.

Leaders of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations proactively and actively participate in preparing for Party Congresses at all levels, the 14th National Congress of the Party, and the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; coordinate to improve the quality of voter meetings; contribute to firmly consolidating the bridge between the Party, the State and the People.

Continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, practice democracy, actively participate in building the Party, State and political system. The focus is on supervising the implementation of mechanisms, policies, and organization of activities of state agencies according to the 2-level local government model; supervising the implementation of the "4 Pillar Resolutions" recently issued by the Politburo.

Lead the development of the National Great Unity Strategy to 2030, vision 2045; develop and sign a Resolution on coordination with the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and relevant agencies; Implement the Project on Training Cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the period 2026-2031 (according to the new organizational model); Project on digital transformation in the activities of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations.

Regarding Party building work, comrade Do Van Chien said that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations focused on comprehensively leading and directing Party building work in terms of ideology, politics, and ethics; organizing inspections and mass mobilization, focusing on implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW, dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Successfully organizing the Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2025-2030 term.

"In 2026, develop a Project to issue a specialized Resolution on: Improving the quality of Party cell activities; innovating the content and methods of operation, closely following reality, being close to the people, serving the people", informed comrade Do Van Chien.
