A few weeks ago, Indonesian football expert Justinus Lhaksana said on a YouTube channel of the archipelago country that Malaysian football would be banned by FIFA until 2027.
The reason for this ban is because the Malaysian team used a naturalized player of unknown origin in the match against the Vietnamese team on June 10.

In response to these allegations, FAM now wants to sue the Indonesian football expert. Football Association of Malaysia President Datuk Joehari Ayub said: “We will discuss this matter with FAM’s legal team to resolve the case.”
“We have also contacted the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) to clarify everything. We take transparency in terms of information very seriously.
We do not tolerate lack of transparency in our work, nor do we accept baseless allegations, whether these take place here or abroad,” FAM President Datuk Joehari Ayub added.
The players who were accused by Indonesian football expert Justinus Lhaksana of having unclear backgrounds when naturalizing as Malaysians include Rodrigo Holgado, Imanol Machuca, Jon Irazabal, Joao Figueiredo and Facundo Garces.

These are all new players, all of whom contributed greatly to the 4-0 victory of the Malaysian team over the Vietnamese team, at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) on June 10.
This is a match in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. The victory of the Malaysian team almost eliminated the Vietnamese team from the Asian football championship.
In addition to denying any wrongdoing in the process of naturalizing foreign players, FAM President Datuk Joehari Ayub also affirmed that the Football Association of Malaysia is still the ideal organization to lead Malaysian football forward.
“FAM is fully prepared and has a long-term plan to develop football in the country. If the National Football Development Program (NFDP) and the Mokhtar Dahari Football Academy (AMD) are assigned to us, FAM is confident that we will do well,” Datuk Joehari Ayub said.
“I affirm that everything we do is based on a disciplined technical foundation, and at the same time based on the goal of developing Malaysian football,” is still the words of the head of the Malaysian Football Federation.
