(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Practically commemorating the Cat Bi victory and the Dien Bien Phu victory, on the morning of April 3, the City Youth Union - City Young Pioneers Council directed the Standing Committee of the Kien An District Youth Union - Young Pioneers Council to host the "Dien Bien Young Soldiers" Festival in Hai Phong City, school year 2023 - 2024.

Attending the event were comrades: Vuong Toan Thu Thuy, Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union; Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

Within the framework of the Festival, delegates and students were able to review the heroic revolutionary tradition of their ancestors, learn about the arduous sacrifices of the Dien Bien soldiers - those who created the glorious victory, "famous in five continents - shaking the earth" in the history of the struggle against foreign invaders; about the perseverance and intelligence of the Cat Bi warriors - those who created the unique Cat Bi victory of the Vietnamese military art of Hai Phong city.

At the program, the City Youth Union - City Pioneer Council commended and rewarded 70 outstanding young pioneers with excellent achievements in the training movement, following the example of their predecessors to become young Dien Bien soldiers. They are Dien Bien soldiers in peacetime, beautiful flowers in the flower garden of "Thousands of good deeds" of Hai Phong city.
