Specifically, 3 pioneer households in Tran Yen commune were allocated a total of 5,500 HAH-VCN chickens. This is a crossbred chicken breed between H'Mong roosters and Egyptian hens, inheriting valuable characteristics such as black meat, black bones, low fat, firm and delicious meat, and outstanding reproductive ability.
In addition to supporting breeding animals, the program also provides adequate disinfectants, vaccines and necessary biological products. These are key factors to ensure a biosafety farming process, minimizing the risk of disease - one of the biggest concerns of farmers.
An important highlight of the model is the training and technical guidance for participating households. People are given detailed instructions on how to build standard barns, advanced livestock farming techniques, effective disease prevention measures, and how to keep livestock diary records in accordance with VietGAHP procedures.
Giving breeding animals to households participating in the model
After leaving the farm, chicken products will be attached with a clear traceability label. This is a "passport" that helps products easily access large-scale consumption chains, ensuring stable output and higher economic value for farmers.
The implementation of the VietGAHP chicken farming model is expected to create a breakthrough in the local livestock industry. The model not only helps improve economic efficiency, ensure food safety and hygiene, but also contributes to promoting the livestock industry to develop towards sustainable commodities, bringing stable income and improving the lives of rural people.
