At the meeting, Mr. Ryoichi Nakagawa, General Director of BTD Japan Company, thanked the provincial leaders for taking the time to receive the delegation. He affirmed that in the past, Ninh Binh province implemented the policy of merging administrative units, but Japanese enterprises still chose Ninh Binh province to invest and received enthusiastic support from all levels, sectors, especially the provincial leaders. This shows the good relationship between Vietnam and Japan as well as the trust of Japanese enterprises when investing in Ninh Binh province. Mr. Ryoichi Nakagawa hopes that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention so that Japanese enterprises have a favorable investment environment and opportunities in Ninh Binh.
At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Truong Quoc Huy emphasized: Ha Nam in the past and Ninh Binh province at present continue to commit to Japanese investors in the production and business process to ensure the most favorable conditions, considering the success of enterprises as the success of the province. Through investment promotions in Japan and organized events, Ninh Binh province and Japanese localities have more opportunities to connect and cooperate closely and effectively. This working program continues to show the province's consistency in its commitment to support investment for Japanese investors. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that Mr. Riyoichi Nakagawa and Japanese enterprises will continue to connect and decide to invest more in the province to create stable development and economic growth for both Ninh Binh province and Japanese enterprises in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc highly appreciated Japanese investors as one of the major investors in the province. The investors have all been successful and have grown over the years. Currently, the province has 114 projects of Japanese enterprises, with a total registered investment capital of 1.46 billion USD (some typical enterprises: Sumi Company, Honda Vietnam Company Branch in Ha Nam, YKK Company, Kyosha Company...). Japanese enterprises are always in the top of FDI enterprises contributing the largest budget to Ninh Binh province.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc gave an overview of the province's potentials and advantages in attracting investment. After the merger, Ninh Binh province has an important and strategic geographical position, being the "gateway" to the south of the Northern Delta, belonging to the North-South economic corridor, the coastal economic corridor of the Gulf of Tonkin and the East-West economic corridor; a transit point of 3 economic regions: the Red River Delta, the North Central and Central Coast, the midlands and mountainous regions of the North. The province has a convenient transport infrastructure connecting with Hanoi city, in the region and with the whole country.
According to the industrial park development orientation, Ninh Binh province plans 53 industrial parks with a total area of 12,329 hectares, of which 20 have been built and put into operation. Of the 20 currently operating industrial parks, Ninh Binh province has reserved Dong Van III Industrial Park Phase I to attract Japanese investors. The province advocates and continues to build the northern region (former Ha Nam province) into a high-tech industrial development center, an innovation center, and a high-quality human resource training center; the eastern region focuses on the marine economy and the southern region develops cultural industry, service tourism and clean industry.
Currently, Ninh Binh province is implementing a number of key transport projects such as: Developing the Project "Research on the possibility of forming Ninh Binh International Airport" to submit to the Ministry of Construction for consideration and reporting to the Prime Minister to add to the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Proposing the proposed plan to build an international airport with an initial design capacity of about 10 million passengers/year. Proposing the Ministry of Construction to consider adding Ninh Binh Seaport to the Seaport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The proposed scale includes specialized ports, international general ports and other ports with a capacity of about 120 million tons of cargo per year...
The province has tourism potential and a unique culture. Currently, the province is continuing to improve the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to ensure synchronization and modernity, and is focusing on training high-quality human resources... to create the best investment environment for businesses in general, including Japanese businesses.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc affirmed: The new Ninh Binh province after the merger will create a better development space for businesses, including Japanese investors. With the potential and advantages of synchronous and modern industrial park infrastructure; transport infrastructure connecting with other provinces, seaports and airports; along with that, the province is implementing a series of key projects serving socio-economic development, which will contribute to better supporting investors when investing in the province. At the same time, with support policies and consistent commitments in investment incentives, Ninh Binh province will continue to remove difficulties and obstacles, accompanying Japanese investors to create breakthrough development in the coming time.
