Barca and Hansi Flick decided to take a risk with Marcus Rashford - the striker that MU wanted to 'send off' as soon as possible, due to financial conditions and the (fragile) hope - of reviving at Nou Camp.
However, bringing Rashford back did not receive support from Barca's pillars. El Nacional reported that new number 10 Lamine Yamal "absolutely did not like Barca signing Rashford ".
The source added that Yamal felt “deceived ” by President Joan Laporta and director Deco, who insisted that Barca would do their best to sign close friend Nico Williams.
As a result, Nico Williams remained at Athletic Bilbao, while Rashford made his debut with the number 14 shirt. Lamine Yamal felt that Barca did not do their best to sign Williams, then brought in the MU striker, who the 18-year-old did not rate highly.
