Lam Dong: Transferring 533 schools to commune and ward management

(LĐ online) - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai has just signed a Decision to transfer the status quo of 533 public schools from the management authority of the People's Committees of districts and cities to the management of the People's Committees of communes and wards.

Specifically, the transferred schools include: 155 junior high schools; 208 primary schools; 170 public kindergartens.

These are public service units, have legal status, their own seals and are allowed to open accounts to operate in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts and cities to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to fully hand over: assets, facilities, equipment, finance, payroll, records and related documents. Schools must withdraw their old seals and hand them over to the management agency after completing the reorganization procedures, to be completed before June 30, 2025.

This transfer aims to streamline the apparatus, strongly decentralize, and ensure the continuous and stable operation ofeducational institutions, without causing interruption in the teaching and learning process.
