According to the online interest rate table for receiving interest at the end of the term of this bank, the interest rate for 1-2 month term is 2.95%/year, 3-5 month term is 3.45%/year, 6 month term is 3.95%/year, 7 month term is 4.05%/year, 8 month term is 4.1%/year, 9 month term is 4.15%/year, 10 month term is 4.2%/year, 11 month term is 4.25%/year, 12 month term is 4.7%/year, 15 month term is 5.25%/year, 18-36 month term is 5.45%/year.
With the policy of adding 0.5%/year interest rate for customers depositing from 100 million VND, SeABank's 6-month term interest rate will be up to 4.45%/year and 12-month term interest rate will be up to 5.2%/year.
However, the highest interest rate, according to the sign placed in front of SeABank's transaction offices, is up to 5.95%/year.
In fact, the highest interest rate when customers deposit savings at this bank can be up to 5.25%/year for a 6-month term, 6.15%/year for a 12-month term according to the introduction of SeABank staff when calling to invite customers to deposit money.
Therefore, the difference between the listed interest rate and the actual interest rate at SeABank can be up to 1.3%/year for a 6-month term. The difference can even be up to 1.45% for a 12-month term.
Not only SeABank, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( ACB ) also recently sent an email announcing that deposit interest rates for some terms are higher than the listed interest rates.
Accordingly, the interest rate for 3-month term deposits is up to 4.2%/year when saving online, while the online mobilization interest rate according to the official listed interest rate table of this bank is only 3.5%/year.
Not stopping there, ACB also adds 0.8%/year interest rate compared to counter deposits for other terms.
ACB is among the commercial banks listed with the lowest deposit interest rates today.
In addition, some banks such as PVCombank, GPBank, PGBank,... although not officially increasing interest rates, also placed signs advertising quite high deposit interest rates in front of transaction points. This interest rate is not officially announced in the interest rate tables posted by the bank.
Meanwhile, in addition to posting online interest rates with the highest interest rate of 5.6%/year, applied to 12-36 month term deposits, MSB Bank also maintains two "special interest rates" for VIP customers and ordinary customers.
“Special interest rate” for VIP customers is up to 7%/year with the condition that customers deposit from 500 billion VND, term of 12-13 months.
The "special interest rate" applied by MSB to ordinary customers is 5.3%/year when depositing for a 6-month term (while the official listed rate is 4.8%/year when depositing online).
The 12-month, 15-month, and 24-month terms also have a “special interest rate” of 5.9%/year (officially listed is 5.6%/year).
In addition, MSB also has some special savings products with interest rates of 4%/year (12 and 24 month terms). These interest rates are 1.3%/year and 1.6%/year lower than the interest rates at the counter and online, respectively.
