During the 1,275 nautical mile journey, the delegation of Tuyen Quang province and members of delegation No. 6 visited 13 island locations including: Song Tu Tay, Da Nam, Son Ca, Da Thi, Sinh Ton, Len Dao, Da Dong (A), Da Tay (A), Da Tay (C), Truong Sa Lon, Da Lat and DK1/14 and DK1/11 platforms. Of the 13 island locations visited, Truong Sa Lon, the "capital" of Truong Sa island district, left the most impression on the delegation.
This is a floating island with a wharf for large ships to dock; there is an airport with a long runway. Truong Sa Lon has always been a fortress but is always covered in green by phong ba and banyan trees. After participating in activities such as the flag-raising ceremony, reviewing the Navy troops on the island, the delegation of Tuyen Quang province offered incense at the Uncle Ho Memorial House; laid wreaths and visited the martyrs at the Martyrs Monument on the island.
During the working trip, the delegation brought 5 banyan trees of Tan Trao origin to plant at 4 floating island locations: Song Tu Tay, Son Ca, Sinh Ton and Truong Sa Lon. Bringing the Tan Trao banyan tree from Tuyen Quang province to Truong Sa Lon demonstrated that the revolutionary homeland, the "Capital of the Liberated Zone", the "Capital of Resistance" always stands shoulder to shoulder with the army and people of Truong Sa island district day and night to firmly maintain the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
One of the most touching moments was the memorial service for the officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of the sea and islands. In the clear sky and calm sea, comrade Nguyen Sang Vang read a speech in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland, then dark clouds rolled in, covering the scene of the ceremony. Ship HQ - 571 swayed and tilted. With all the gratitude for the heroes who fell for the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands, right after the incense sticks were lit and the wreaths were dropped into the sea, the atmosphere of the ceremony returned to "calm sky, calm sea".
The "Truong Sa Soldier" badge that I was honored to receive after my business trip is always a motivation for me to try harder to do a good job of propaganda, spreading the spirit of patriotism and love for the homeland's sea and islands to friends and audiences of TTV, continuing to contribute to the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
