Kim Long Ward was established after the reorganization of Kim Long, Huong Long and Long Ho wards, with an area of over 90km² and a population of nearly 49,000 people. This is a ward with a particularly important location, converging many potentials for developing ecological urban areas, spiritual tourism and traditional culture.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, Kim Long ward has effectively mobilized investment resources, promoting socio-economic development. The total value of products is estimated at more than 4,000 billion VND, an increase of 1.6 times compared to the previous term. Average income per capita in 2025 reached 73 million VND, an increase of 1.4 times compared to 2020. Poverty reduction, ensuring social security, investment in transport infrastructure, administrative reform, national defense - security... achieved positive results.

On that basis, the ward Party Committee determined the goal for the 2025 - 2030 term to build Kim Long to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a dynamic urban area of Hue city center. The Congress identified breakthroughs, such as: completing a synchronous and modern urban infrastructure system, prioritizing resources for key projects, building a digital government that is close to the people and effective, improving cultural and social life and focusing on developing a team of cadres to meet new requirements.

Speaking at the congress, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council Phan Thien Dinh acknowledged the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of Kim Long. At the same time, he emphasized that the merger of administrative units is an opportunity to promote the potential of this land with a rich history and culture.

“Kim Long needs to proactively take measures to exploit and maximize the locality’s distinct advantages and competitive advantages in socio-economic development and urban modernization. Mobilize all resources to turn the ward into one of the cultural and tourism centers, harmoniously combining the preservation and promotion of the city’s heritage values. Immediately after the congress, it is necessary to urgently issue an action program to ensure the motto of “clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear progress, clear efficiency”, and start implementing the tasks of the new term,” Mr. Dinh emphasized.

With the theme throughout the term being: "Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party Committee; improving the efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency of the political system; promoting the strength of the entire people; innovating, creating, and transforming digitally; building Kim Long Ward to develop comprehensively, sustainably, civilized, friendly, safe, and rich in identity; becoming a dynamic urban area of the city center". At the same time, we believe that, with the spirit of solidarity, courage and innovation, the Party Committee and People of Kim Long Ward will successfully achieve the set goals, helping the locality to rise up and make worthy contributions to the overall development of Hue City in the new period.

The Congress announced the personnel participating in the Delegation to attend the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and introduced the Executive Committee of the Kim Long Ward Party Committee, term I, term 2025 - 2030, consisting of 20 comrades. Mr. Hoang Phuoc Nhat was appointed to hold the position of Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Kim Long Ward, term 2025 - 2030.
