According to local residents, on July 26, the construction unit was constructing the embankment of the Ben Dinh canal dredging project, causing strong vibrations. Local residents are concerned that the construction will affect the structure of houses along Hoang Minh Giam and Nguyen Ba Lan streets (Tam Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Mr. Thang, a resident on Hoang Minh Giam Street, said that his house is about 500m from the project construction area, but he has still felt strong tremors in the past few days.
At the time of inspection, the authorities noted that the construction unit was driving steel pipe piles into the ground to construct the embankment of the Ben Dinh canal dredging project. According to visual assessment, the construction process may cause vibrations, especially during stages such as pile driving and operating heavy construction equipment. The vibrations generated from this activity may affect neighboring structures, including houses and construction items along the canal.

Mr. Ha Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of Tam Thang Ward People's Committee, requested the construction unit to listen to people's feedback and ensure safe construction.
At the same time, the Ward People's Committee requested the investor to provide legal documents related to the conditions for starting the project before July 28. After that, the two sides will coordinate to re-survey the current status of the housing project to compare with the recorded status. On that basis, it will be determined whether the construction of the project will affect the housing of the households or not. If so, appropriate solutions will be proposed.
