Construction of a Multi-purpose House in the Ho Chi Minh Relic Complex in Thailand begins

On June 16, in Udon Thani province, Northeast Thailand, the contract signing ceremony for the construction of a multi-purpose house under the project to expand the President Ho Chi Minh relic site took place.

Contract signing ceremony for the construction of a multi-purpose house under the project to expand the President Ho Chi Minh relic site in Udon Thani province, Northeastern Thailand.

Attending the ceremony were Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh, officials of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand (General Association) - President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Udon Thani Province, representatives of the Thai-Vietnamese Business Association, representatives of the Vietnamese Associations of the provinces and a large number of overseas Vietnamese in Northeast Thailand.

The multi-purpose building is an important project in the expansion project of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in Udon Thani, with a total construction investment of about 22 million Baht, equivalent to about 680 thousand USD, expected to start construction in July, be built in about 3 years and inaugurated in 2028.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Duc Dau, Head of the Management Board of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site, said that the future Multi-purpose House will have a capacity of more than 400 people and will be the place to organize large and important events of the local Vietnamese community, especially on major holidays such as National Day September 2 and President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

Expressing his joy at attending the event, Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa said that through the channel of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, information will be spread so that the Vietnamese community in many countries will know, care and take practical actions to support the construction of the Multi-purpose House as well as the project to expand the Relic Site.

Attending the ceremony, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh assessed that the groundbreaking ceremony of the Multi-purpose House is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. The completion of the project in 2028 has a special meaning to celebrate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival in Thailand, adding another project to demonstrate the enthusiasm and great contributions of overseas Vietnamese, contributing to promoting and honoring President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, and world cultural celebrity.

On this occasion, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh expressed his sincere thanks to the Thai government and local authorities for always paying attention and supporting to create favorable conditions for conservation activities, building the Relic Site into a beautiful symbol in the friendly cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Thailand.

On June 16 and 17, the Vietnamese community in Northeastern Thailand donated nearly 2 million Baht, equivalent to about 60 thousand USD, to implement the project to expand the President Ho Chi Minh relic site in Udon Thani province.
