Field survey of progress of Ba Lai 8 bridge project on coastal road

Mr. Nguyen Truc Son - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting, listening to the progress report of the Ba Lai 8 bridge project on the coastal road.

After the departments, branches and localities reported on the project progress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Truc Son said that the project is large-scale, with 4 bidding packages allocating capital of over 1,033 billion VND, but after 7 months of implementation, only more than 5.5% has been disbursed - very low compared to the target of 25% of the whole province. The reason is due to slow site clearance, lack of coordination between departments, branches and local authorities. Difficulties in supplying raw materials, especially sand and stone.

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Truc Son requested departments, branches and local authorities to urgently complete site clearance work before the end of August 2025. Assign relevant departments and branches to coordinate to remove difficulties in sand supply; focus maximum resources, search for and ensure raw materials, proactively propose solutions, and coordinate to speed up progress.

Regarding disbursement progress, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to disburse a minimum of VND 100 billion/month, a maximum of VND 200 billion/month in the remaining 5 months of 2025. Authorities at all levels must coordinate closely, promote leadership and direction, concentrate resources, and ensure construction progress.
