Inauguration of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, campus 2, over 2,400 billion VND

On the morning of August 26, at Tan Kien Medical Cluster, Tan Nhut Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Civil and Industrial Works of Ho Chi Minh City held the inauguration ceremony of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, Campus 2.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Le, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Duong Anh Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Duong Anh Duc, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, shared that this is an important milestone not only for the school but also for the city's health sector in the journey to improve the quality of training and health care for the people.

According to comrade Duong Anh Duc, the city's decision to invest in a university with such a large total investment shows Ho Chi Minh City's special priority for the education and health sectors.

With spacious and modern facilities, comrade Duong Anh Duc hopes that Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will effectively exploit the new facility, creating favorable conditions for training, research and clinical practice, making practical contributions to the strategy of developing high-quality medical human resources.

He requested that departments and branches continue to accompany and support the city's health sector in implementing the next projects in Tan Kien Medical Cluster - which is oriented to become a specialized medical center of ASEAN regional stature.

“Medicine is a special field, where the quality of training is directly related to the lives and health of the people. Therefore, the city has high expectations for the staff, lecturers and students of the school to take advantage of this precious opportunity to elevate the school to become the leading medical training center in the country,” emphasized Mr. Duong Anh Duc.

The project is built on a land area of ^{​​67,400m2} , total construction floor area of ​​more than ^132,000m2 , total investment of over 2,400 billion VND from the city budget.

The highlight is the system of 19 lecture halls with a capacity of 50 to 1,000 seats, along with 19 practice areas of various medical subjects, helping students to fully access professional skills.

The entire campus is harmoniously planned with trees, sports fields, public service areas and accommodation, creating a comprehensive learning environment, combining physical and mental health.
