Inauguration of the gate of the Military Region 5 Command Relic Site

Attending the event were Major General Doan Van Nhat - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 5; Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee - Le Thi Thuy; representatives of the Military Command and Veterans Association of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai provinces, and Da Nang City.

The gate project of the Military Region 5 Command Relic Site is a project to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day, towards the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

Previously, through a survey, it was found that the gate and fence of the Military Region 5 Command Relic Site had degraded. In April 2024, the Veterans Association of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang City mobilized members to contribute funds to rebuild the relic gate.

After 2 months of construction, the project was completed with a total construction cost of more than 400 million VND; area of ​​about ^150m2 , including gate, yard, concrete road, fence.

The Military Region 5 Command Relic is the original relic, the secret workplace of the generals and leaders of Region 5 such as comrade Vo Thu and Chu Huy Man during the resistance war. The relic was restored right after the country was reunified.
