“Independence Star” is not only an art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), but also a tribute to previous generations, an opportunity for people to look back on the 80-year journey of resilience, pride and faith in the future.

On September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening an era of independence and freedom for the nation.

And 80 years have passed, that milestone is still the "star" guiding generations of Vietnamese people on the journey of building and developing the country.

The program is designed in 3 chapters: From Sen Village to the successful August Revolution; Resistance against France and America; The city innovates, develops, and enters the era of growth.

The impressive highlight of the art program "Independent Starlight" is the blend of modern technology and traditional art essence, creating a performance space that is both grand and emotional.

Right from the opening, the audience was treated to a laser light show, mapping combined with traditional music, as an affirmation: history and present always go hand in hand in the nation's progress.

The elaborately staged performances follow each other to create an emotional artistic journey: "The Road We Travel" performed by Trong Tan, "Country of Love" performed by Trong Tan and Anh Tho, "Country" sung by Ho Trung Dung and Thanh Ngoc in a duet, "Aspiration" performed by Cam Van and Cece Truong, or the segment "Flame of Independence" combined with choreography and LED-mapping-laser to bring a unique visual and auditory experience.

The program also brings together famous artists such as Meritorious Artists Le Thien, Cam Van, Giang Hong Ngoc, Vo Ha Tram, Ho Trung Dung, Thanh Ngoc... along with dance troupes, choir groups, and circus artists Hien Phuoc-Thanh Hoa, contributing to making the artistic picture more colorful.

Although it was raining heavily at the Saigon Ward Bridge, a large audience still braved the rain to sing along with the artists, creating warm moments in the program.

It can be said that, in the bustling atmosphere of the historic autumn, "Independence Star" is a symphony of national pride, an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to further appreciate the value of independence and freedom and continue the tradition of their ancestors, together building a strong and civilized country.
