In his opening speech, Director of Quang Ngai Provincial Museum (Facility 2) Nguyen Chi Thanh reviewed the heroic tradition of 80 years of building and defending the country of the nation. Affirming the great value of President Ho Chi Minh 's Declaration of Independence.
Keeping in mind the teachings of "Rather sacrifice everything than lose the country, never become slaves", our people have fought steadfastly, paying with the blood of generations through two long resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, regaining peace , independence and freedom for the Fatherland.
In Quang Ngai alone, the army and people in the province have achieved resounding victories, from the Ba To Uprising, the Tra Bong Uprising, the Western Quang Ngai movement to the Ba Gia Victory, the resounding Van Tuong Victory, contributing together with the army and people of the whole country to the Great Spring Victory of 1975.
“Promoting that heroic revolutionary tradition, today, in the process of innovation and integration, the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Ngai continue to unite, be of one mind, and be determined to build our homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized, worthy of the great sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers,” Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh emphasized.
The exhibition introduces about 400 images, documents and artifacts under two themes: “August Revolution and National Day 2.9 - a great event in the history of the nation” and “From Van Tuong to Dung Quat”. The event affirms the role and great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the process of national construction and defense of Kon Tum province (formerly).
The exhibition aims to honor important historical milestones in the nation's revolutionary struggle, especially the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - a great turning point in the process of building and defending the country; affirming the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
The exhibition takes place from August 14 to October 14 at the Quang Ngai Provincial Museum (facility 2, Kon Tum ward, Quang Ngai province), open free of charge for people and tourists inside and outside the province to visit, learn and study.
