Mobilizing social resources to help the poor and disadvantaged

On the evening of November 11, the Front Working Committee of Ward 7 (Ward 15, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the National Great Unity Day 2023.

Speaking at the festival, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Ngo Thanh Son suggested that the Front Working Committee of Ward 7 should continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and cohesion to continue to be creative and innovative in content and methods of operation to build the ward to be increasingly developed and strong; continue to promote propaganda work, mobilize people to actively participate in activities to support and help poor households and disadvantaged families in the area.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to preserve and promote the nation's fine traditional cultural values; build a cultural lifestyle and civilized behavior; build happy families, aiming at comprehensive human development, improving the quality of building cultural residential areas and civilized urban areas.

At the festival, residents of Ward 7 responded by registering to build a clean and green project; award 10 Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year; mobilize the "For the Poor" Fund with a budget of 50 million VND; and repair a charity house for a poor household.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and District 10 give gifts to disadvantaged families

On this occasion, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented 10 gifts to poor households; the Neighborhood Front Working Committee presented 30 gifts to take care of disadvantaged households in the neighborhood. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 15 presented 4 Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year to students. The Organizing Committee commended 34 typical examples of "Good people - good deeds"; awarded certificates of merit to 70 households that have achieved the title of exemplary cultural families for 3 consecutive years.
