On November 28, the head of Egypt's State Information Service (SIS) Diaa Rashwan announced that Egypt had facilitated the transfer of 25,240 tons of aid, including medical supplies, food and water to the Gaza Strip, since the start of the war until November 27.

Mr. Rashwan affirmed that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have received 2,812 tons of medical aid, 11,427 tons of food, 8,583 tons of water and 2,418 tons of other relief materials.

In addition, 1,048 tons of fuel were also delivered to the area. The aid was delivered in 2,263 trucks through the Rafah border crossing that connects Egypt with the Gaza Strip.

The head of SIS affirmed that Egypt is making efforts to speed up the delivery of aid to Gaza, contributing to reducing the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people.

Under the terms of the four-day ceasefire, 200 trucks of humanitarian aid along with 130,000 liters of fuel are allowed into the Gaza Strip each day.

Egypt has also received 566 wounded Palestinians from Gaza for treatment in its hospitals. In addition, 8,691 foreigners and dual nationals, including 1,256 Egyptians, were evacuated from Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.

In another development, on the same day, Foreign Ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) major economies supported extending the current ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and future ceasefires to facilitate humanitarian aid and hostage release.
