Fire Safety Interfamily Competition in Quang Ninh Province 2025

On the afternoon of June 11, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Provincial Police organized the 2025 Provincial Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Safety Inter-family Team" with the participation of nearly 200 athletes from 13 teams, representing 13 localities in the province.

In the theoretical part, the athletes answered questions about basic knowledge of fire fighting and rescue work at home.

For the practical part, with a hypothetical situation of a fire occurring in a type of house adjacent to production and business; athletes perform firefighting, rescue and salvage operations such as using pliers to break the door lock, using a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, using a gas mask to approach the fire, techniques for moving victims, techniques for searching and moving assets.

As a result of the competition, the "Fire Safety Interfamily Team" of Cam Pha City won the first prize, the second prize went to the Dong Trieu City team and the Ba Che district team won the third prize overall.

The province currently has 1,567 models of “Fire Safety Inter-family Teams” and 514 public fire fighting points. The contest is organized to supplement knowledge and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property for members of “Fire Safety Inter-family Teams” and neighboring areas; at the same time, put the Inter-family Teams into practical operation; effectively promote the principles of “4 on-site”, 5 golden minutes in fire fighting , minimizing the number of fires and damage caused by fires in residential areas.

In Quang Ninh , since the beginning of the year, there have been 47 fires (12 fewer than the same period last year), of which the number of fires and explosions in residential areas and households has decreased significantly; especially, there have been no fires or explosions in the "Fire Prevention and Control Inter-family Group" models. These are positive results showing the effectiveness of this model.
