Scientific workshop "Chronological history of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, volume 2, period 1954

BTO-On December 24, the Provincial Party Committee organized a scientific workshop to evaluate the results and complete the manuscript of the book "Chronological history of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, volume 2, period 1954 - 1975".

Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Vo Thanh Binh - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department co-chaired the workshop. Attending were leaders, former leaders of the province through the periods; experts, scientists , historical researchers.

Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized: Through two workshops in December 2023 and July 2024, delegates participated in the drafts with many very important and valuable opinions, the most valuable of which were the contributions of former provincial leaders and comrades who fought and worked in Binh Thuan province. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the editorial department have received the contributions to supplement and complete the draft. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested that delegates continue to pay attention to and research and contribute specific opinions to the content of documents on timelines and historical events so that the editorial department can continue to receive, review and complete them to report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to send to the competent authority for comments before publishing.

According to the Provincial Party Secretary, the revolutionary journey of the Party Committee and people of Binh Thuan from 1954 to 1975 was full of difficulties and challenges but extremely glorious and heroic. That was the process in which the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee led the people to fight against the US to save the country, contributing significantly to the victory of the great long-term resistance war in the revolutionary history of our nation. Compiling and publishing the historical chronicle of the Provincial Party Committee is a very important task. The completed work is a valuable scientific document, serving as a basis for research, compilation, and propaganda of the Party Committee's history and local traditional history throughout the Provincial Party Committee.

At the workshop, delegates demonstrated high responsibility when contributing ideas to the workshop with many valuable contents.

The book Chronicle of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Volume II (1954 - 1975 period) was directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to research, compile and publish to welcome the 15th Congress of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. The manuscript submitted to the 3rd conference is about 345 pages thick with 259 historical events, honestly and vividly reflecting the historical developments and processes taking place in the locality. This is a large-scale scientific work, bringing together many authors to research, compile and edit selectively on the main events, reflecting the revolutionary struggle process, the leadership role of the Provincial Party Committee in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

It is known that before that, the History of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee had published 3 books including: History of the Provincial Party Committee: Volume 1, period (1930 - 1954); Volume 2, period (1954 - 1975) and Volume 3, period (1975 - 2005). Localities and units have published many historical and traditional books for the period 1930 - 2012. In particular, in 2020, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee published the book Chronicle of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Volume 1 (1930-1954) to welcome the 14th Congress of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025. These books have been received, read, studied by cadres, party members and people of the province and have made an important contribution to the work of educating the revolutionary traditions of the locality.
