(NADS) - On the morning of March 10, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists held a Conference of Branch Chairmen of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in the Southern region (from Da Nang City and below).
At the Conference, Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and Deputy of the 15th National Assembly of Vietnam reported and reviewed the activities and results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 9th Congress (2020-2025) from the beginning of the term until now.
From those results, in order to continue to effectively implement the directions and tasks of the 9th Congress, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists set out key goals and tasks from now until the end of the term. The conference received many enthusiastic opinions from the Branch Presidents and delegates to work with the Association's Executive Committee to find optimal solutions to continue to effectively implement the resolution from now until the end of the term.
The key tasks set forth by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts from now until the end of the 9th term (2020-2025) include:
- Continue to closely follow the Resolution of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (2020-2025)
- Organize Vietnamese photography activities within the framework of implementing the plan to organize activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), issued by the Central Propaganda Department.
- Organize a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Photography Traditional Day (March 15)
- Organize 02 Branch President Conferences in the North and South and a Seminar on the Development Orientation of Vietnamese Photography.
- Organizing a photo exhibition to celebrate the 155th anniversary of Dang Huy Tru bringing photography to Vietnam in Hue
- Coordinate with the Central Propaganda Department to organize the national photo contest "Pride of a border strip in 2024".
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition) to organize the Vietnam Art Photography Contest (every 2 years).
- Organizing a workshop on the 150th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Lai Xa photography village, Nguyen Dinh Khanh (Khanh Ky) 1874 - 2024.
- Organize seminars on photography theory and criticism.
- Organizing creative camps allocated annually by the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation; 01 creative camp in Da Nang, 01 creative camp in Tam Dao...
- Organizing the International Art Photography Contest in Vietnam (VN-25)
- Coordinate with localities to organize well the Art Photography Festival of 08 regions, summarize the award ceremony, open the exhibition and publish PDF books.
- Publishing the book "History of Vietnamese photography from 1869 to 2022".
- Published 02 photo books about Covid-19 and Seagame 31.
- Celebrate the Association's founding anniversary every year.
- Continue to develop the project "Creative space and digital transformation of Vietnamese artistic photography works at the Vietnam Art Photography Archives and Exhibition Center".
- Strengthen international photography exchange relations: Cooperate with the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos to organize an exhibition of the photo collection of the contest "Fatherland by the Waves" and compositions in Laos; Cooperate with the Korean Photographers Association to organize a photo exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Develop a plan to guide the organization of the Congress of the Branches for the term (2024 - 2029). Develop a project to plan key staff of the Association and closely coordinate with the Vietnam Union of Literary and Arts Associations to prepare personnel for the Congress for the term 2025 - 2030;
- Organize the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (2025 - 2030) in 2025.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications to gradually digitize the archives to complete the archival work as well as exchange photos with units, organizations and individuals (both domestic and foreign).
- Carry out steps to implement the Digital Transformation Strategy for Journalism to 2025, with a vision to 2030 of the Ministry of Information and Communications for Photography and Life Magazine.
- Professional sponsorship for provincial photo contests; photo exhibitions of groups and individuals
