Rise from hardship
Speaking at the program, Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Phan Tung Son - Director of the Logistics Academy said that, in response to the requirements of the resistance war against French colonialism, on May 15, 1951, the General Department of Supply organized the first Supply Officer Training Class in Ha hamlet, Khuon Long village, Yen Do commune, Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province (now Yen Trach commune, Thai Nguyen province).

Amidst bombs and bullets, the cadres, lecturers and students of the Academy have always been courageous and steadfast - and in peace, they have constantly nurtured the will to innovate, innovate and rise up. The forces have always stood shoulder to shoulder, devoted themselves and devoted themselves to the further development of the Academy, successfully completing the task of training high-quality human resources for the cause of military construction.

In recent years, especially the 2024-2025 school year, facing the increasingly high demands of military building, national defense consolidation, and national protection in the new situation, many new tasks and very high requirements have been set for the Academy.
The Academy has completed its educational and training tasks exceptionally well, consistently focusing on breakthrough thinking, resolutely implementing the motto "The school's training quality is the unit's combat readiness"; "Real teaching, real learning, real assessment" creating a new momentum in education and training.

From the first Supply Officer Training Class with only 88 students, up to now, the Logistics Academy has trained nearly 62,000 military students; more than 5,000 civilian students; more than 1,500 masters, nearly 200 doctors.
In the 2024-2025 school year, in order to meet the requirements of military construction in the new situation, in the face of the reality of merging logistics agencies and technical agencies into logistics and technical agencies, the Academy promptly trained courses of students with thousands of mid-level logistics and technical officers (brigades) to supply units throughout the army.

From this school, tens of thousands of students have graduated and are present in all regions of the country, pioneering in difficult areas, remote areas, border areas, and islands. Many national defense and security projects, civil and industrial projects of national importance in the capital, border areas, and islands have all received contributions from the hands, minds, and enthusiastic hearts of the students here.
With its outstanding achievements in training cadres for the revolutionary cause, the Academy has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and the State. On August 12, 2025, the President signed a decision to award the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Logistics Academy - this is the second time the Academy has been honored to receive this noble title.
Tasks to be implemented

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the Logistics Academy in recent years; at the same time, congratulated the school on receiving the noble title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for the second time.
To successfully complete the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Logistics Academy to regularly do a good job of political and ideological education, building a team of cadres, lecturers, students, staff, and soldiers with steadfast and firm political will.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of education and training. By 2030, the Logistics Academy strives to become a leading national and regional center for education, training, and scientific research in logistics, engineering, and finance, meeting the basic standards of a smart, modern school, associated with digital transformation.
The Academy needs to continue to develop “smart schools”, “digital schools”, “digital lecturers”, and “digital students” according to the policy of the Ministry of National Defense; promote the application of information technology, simulation technology, artificial intelligence, and shared databases in management, operation, and supervision of training activities.

The Logistics Academy must pay attention to and take care of building a team of teachers and educational managers who meet the prescribed standards; promote international cooperation, foreign language and information technology training; increase the number of staff and lecturers sent on rotation and practical training; combine postgraduate training with the implementation of research on scientific and technological topics, projects, and proposals...
