Import and export activities at Bac Phong Sinh border gate continue to grow

Since the beginning of the year, import and export activities at Bac Phong Sinh border gate, Quang Duc commune, Quang Ninh province, have recorded many positive changes, especially the increase in the number of vehicles and people entering and exiting the area.

According to statistics from Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate Customs (Customs Sub-Department of Region VIII), as of July 25, 2025, the total import-export turnover through the area reached more than 46.3 million USD with 1,962 declarations, of which the official import-export turnover reached nearly 18.4 million USD, the rest was the export turnover of border residents. Total state budget revenue by the end of July reached more than 6.1 billion VND, up 1.04% over the same period last year, reaching 34.06% of the assigned plan and reaching 30.65% of the target.

Main export items include: frozen seafood, sawn acacia wood, longan, handicrafts from rattan and bamboo, votive paper... Meanwhile, main import goods are shoes, consumer goods and groceries.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 35 enterprises participating in import and export through Bac Phong Sinh border gate, of which 30 are exporting enterprises and 5 are importing enterprises, a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, the official export turnover in July increased by 26.38% compared to the previous month.

In July 2025 alone, the official export turnover through Bac Phong Sinh border gate reached 2 million USD, an increase of 26.38% in turnover and 16.22% in the number of declarations compared to the same period last month.

Along with commercial activities, the number of vehicles and people crossing the border has also increased sharply. As of July 25, the total number of vehicles entering and exiting the country reached more than 106,000, an increase of 229% over the same period in 2024. People's entry and exit activities are stable with hundreds of Vietnamese and Chinese people crossing each month.

The work of controlling smuggling and trade fraud continues to be maintained effectively. The functional forces regularly coordinate closely, ensuring the area is clear but still controlling the situation well, not allowing the emergence of hot spots and illegal goods transit points.

Bac Phong Sinh Customs is focusing on synchronously implementing solutions to promote administrative procedure reform, support businesses, ensure good control but still create favorable conditions for import and export activities.
