Support over 300 million VND for teachers with serious illnesses

HNN.VN - In recent days, grassroots unions under the Hue City Education Trade Union, groups and individuals have paid much attention and shared the case of teacher Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, a member of the Binh Dien High School Trade Union, who is in a particularly difficult situation due to a serious illness.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, born in 1982, is currently being treated at Hue Central Hospital. On May 17, 2025, she was hospitalized for meningeal effusion and cervical spine injury - the result of a traffic accident many years ago. On May 27, 2025, she suffered a cardiac arrest and fell into a deep coma. Despite emergency surgery, fluid drainage, CT scans, and MRIs, her condition remains very serious. She is currently in a coma, breathing through a tracheostomy tube, with a very low prognosis for recovery.

Teacher Hue’s family was already in a difficult situation. The house was being repaired with a loan from the Social Policy Bank when she fell ill, forcing the whole family to rent a room. Her husband, who works as a security guard in A Luoi, quit his job to take care of his wife. Her three children, one in 10th grade, one in 8th grade and one in 3rd grade, are at the age where they need care and support in their studies.

Faced with such a difficult situation, the Standing Committee of the Hue City Education Trade Union called for and received positive responses from grassroots trade unions, teachers, students and many benefactors. As of June 23, 2025, the total amount of support for Ms. Hue was 316,157,988 VND. The Education Trade Union and the Binh Dien High School Trade Union presented the above support amount to Ms. Hue's family.
