“Some of my players were injured after the semi-final. I will re-evaluate their situation before the match. If there is any problem with any individual, I will find another solution for U23 Indonesia,” coach Gerald Vanenburg added.
One of the injured faces that is receiving attention from the U23 Indonesia side is the naturalized Dutch striker Jens Raven. He is also the leading scorer with 7 goals.
If Jens Raven cannot play in the final, it will be a big loss for the home team U23 Indonesia.
However, the Dutch coach of the young team of the archipelago country is still confident that U23 Indonesia will win U23 Vietnam. It will even be a victory in the official match time.

Coach Gerald Vanenburg shared: “We want to win in the official 90 minutes of play. And in case the final has to go to a penalty shootout, we are still ready.”
“I know U23 Vietnam is a very strong opponent, I have respect for U23 Vietnam. The final will be a great match, both sides are full of determination. That is why VAR technology will be applied to the final.
Surely the match will have many tense situations, so the teams and referees need the support of VAR technology," said coach Gerald Vanenburg.
In the most recent meeting between the U23 Vietnam and U23 Indonesia teams at the U23 Southeast Asian tournament, U23 Vietnam under coach Hoang Anh Tuan defeated U23 Indonesia under coach Shin Tae Yong (Korean) in the final match of the 2023 tournament.
