Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong - Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion said that following the success of the "Happy Tet" program on the occasion of Lunar New Year, this year, the "Happy Tet" program introduces traditional Tet spaces of Vietnamese people in different regions. Throughout the program is a unique combination of the ancient royal Tet tradition with today's Tet culture.
With a large space designed, decorated grandly, elaborately and creatively, it introduced the traditional Tet holiday, tourist destinations, cultural values of Hanoi and regions across the country.

The program includes the following spaces: "Homeland Train", "Old Hanoi House Space", "Tet Space of the Three Regions North, Central and South", "Tet Space of National Colors", " Cuisine Space".
Accordingly, "Old Hanoi House Space" was restored from the heritage house at 87 Ma May. Here, people and tourists can learn about an old Hanoi family preparing a Tet meal with relatives gathering to wrap Chung cake in the warm, aromatic scent of old coriander water.
"Central Tet Space" recreates the An Hien garden house - Hue. "Southern Tet Space" recreates the vibrant and bustling Tet image on the floating market, bearing the strong imprint of the gardens and rivers of the people of the South.
In addition, the space to promote Tet cuisine in Hanoi and other regions will introduce typical Hanoi Tet dishes as well as the value of Vietnamese cuisine. From there, domestic and international tourists can experience the precious Vietnamese Tet culinary culture and the beauty of outstanding culinary flavors from North to South.

In addition to cultural spaces for visitors to check-in and learn about culture, the "Happy Tet 2024" program has many activities such as: Kite procession at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; traditional Tet costume performance with the centerpiece being the record-breaking Ao Dai about the Dragon - the theme of 2024 will be introduced and performed along with the traditional Ao Dai performance; talk show with the theme "Spring day telling stories of the old Tet" is stories about watching Tet, eating Tet, playing Tet.
In addition, the program also has sideline activities such as: Photo exhibition, documents about the old Tet; art performance program: Ca tru, Don ca tai tu, youth music night "Full Tet". Activities to experience traditional Tet culture and customs: Performing Tet trays, wrapping banh chung, pounding pork rolls, displaying five-fruit trays, trimming daffodils, picking the first buds of the year, asking for calligraphy, writing parallel sentences... and many traditional folk games.

At the opening ceremony, delegates and visitors participated in the following activities: Offering incense at Kinh Thien Palace - Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the Welcome Art Program.
In the program, people and tourists enjoyed the 3D Mapping light technology projection on the Doan Mon gate with a strong historical color with 3 parts of content: Thang Long's heroic spirit, Thousand-year culture, and Radiant Vietnam, which were elaborately staged with many special performances to welcome the spring of Giap Thin 2024.
In addition, residents and tourists can watch a 3D film about the main festival produced by the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center.
The program "Happy Tet - Spreading Vietnamese Tet traditions" lasts until January 28, 2024.
