Two goals from Achraf Hakimi and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia helped PSG earn 3 points at home team Seattle Sounders, thereby entering the knockout round of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ as top of Group B.
After the match, PSG players showed their respect and gratitude by cleaning up their locker room at Lumen Field in Seattle. The UEFA Champions League champions not only left a tidy space but also thanked the home team Seattle with a simple note: “Merci Seattle.”

The move shows sportsmanship and appreciation for what the American hosts have provided during PSG's stay.
However, in his post-match speech, PSG coach Luis Enrique did not hesitate to criticize the quality of the pitch at Lumen Field. He said: "This pitch, the ball bounces like a rabbit. We won, but that does not change the fact: the pitch is not up to the standard to host a top tournament."
The former Barcelona coach believes that the transition from artificial turf to natural turf has not been handled well. "This used to be an artificial pitch, now it's natural grass, so you have to water it manually. They do it at half-time, but after 10 minutes it's dry. You can't play at the level you want on a pitch like that," he added.
As Group B winners of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, PSG will face Group A runner-up (currently Inter Miami) in the knockout round.
