Hanoi will organize a contest for skilled workers to find high-quality human resources.

On August 27, the Hanoi City Labor Federation informed that the Federation will coordinate with the Hanoi City People's Committee to organize the Hanoi City Skilled Workers Competition in 2025, scheduled to take place at the end of October.

Contestants are Vietnamese workers working at enterprises of all economic sectors in Hanoi.

The exam content includes 11 occupations: Universal lathe; universal milling; CNC lathe; CNC milling; electric welding; _CO2 welding and Tig welding; industrial electronics; industrial electricity; drawing and design on computers; industrial sewing; automotive technology.

The exam consists of two parts: theoretical multiple-choice test and practical test. The theoretical test lasts 30 minutes and covers basic knowledge and specialized knowledge of the profession in which the exam is held; the practical test lasts a maximum of 90 minutes (depending on the profession being tested).

Through the organization of the skilled worker competition to honor highly skilled workers, creative workers in the emulation movement "Review theory, practice skills, compete for skilled workers" of workers in the capital; contributing to improving the quality of human resources, increasing labor productivity, competitiveness of the capital and the country in the integration process.

The contest creates opportunities for workers in enterprises in the city to exchange and learn experiences, improve professional expertise and skills; arouse and spread the spirit of innovation and creativity in labor and production; promote the movement "Good workers - Creative workers" associated with digital transformation, green transformation and development of high-quality labor force in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
