At the time of inspection, the business households presented their Business Registration Certificates and some valid invoices and documents of the products.
However, a large number of products were mixed in with legal goods. After checking the invoices, the task force temporarily seized nearly 3,500 products, including shampoo, sunscreen, and skin cream, without invoices or documents, showing signs of being smuggled goods of unknown origin.
The total value of the infringing goods is over 187 million VND. With the above violations, the total estimated administrative fine is over 300 million VND.
According to Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Head of Market Management Department, this activity is part of the peak month of inspection and tightening management of the quality of goods circulating on the market, especially cosmetics and functional foods - a group of products that can directly affect the health of consumers if their origin and quality are not guaranteed.
