"Ha Man Xuyen" Vuong Tuan passed away due to tuberculosis, aged 73

(NLDO) – On the stage of Saigon 3 troupe, artist Vuong Tuan is famous for his role as "Ha Man Xuyen" in the play "Border Love Song".

The male artist who once brilliantly portrayed the character Ha Man Xuyen - singing with the late People's Artist Thanh Kim Hue, once captivating people's hearts on the stage of the Saigon 3 Opera Troupe - has left the stage forever. The artist Vuong Tuan's family said he passed away at 3:45 p.m. on August 10, at the age of 73.

His real name is Le Van Cong, born in 1952 in Can Duoc - Long An , now Tay Ninh province. He pursued a singing career with the stage name Vuong Tuan.

Luck came to him quite early when he was very young and became a famous "main actor". He lived a very sincere and kind life, winning the hearts of his brothers and sisters in the art world. He played main roles on the stage of Saigon 3 Troupe, then transferred to Saigon 1 Troupe, and then followed provincial troupes such as: Dak Lak, Vinh Long ...

He has a warm voice, especially his unique style of singing "Vo vong co" with long breaths, leaving a lasting impression on the audience of cai luong fans.

Journalist Tran Dai Phu said: "Two months ago, he was hospitalized for tuberculosis at Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, and doctors also discovered that he had meningitis. With the dedicated treatment of doctors, his illness improved and he was discharged from the hospital. But this afternoon, he passed away forever, leaving behind much grief for his family, relatives and colleagues."

The funeral of artist Vuong Tuan was held in Tan Lan commune - Tay Ninh . The ceremony was held at 1:00 p.m. on August 12, followed by burial at the family's home in Tay Ninh province.
