Google (USA) technology company said on June 26 that it will launch a new experimental application called Doppl, which uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to visualize how different outfits will look when worn by users. The application is available on iOS and Android operating systems in the US.

Doppl is designed to let users try on virtual outfits on a digital version of themselves. The app works by asking users to upload a full-body photo of themselves. From there, users can use photos or screenshots of different outfits to try them on online.

These images can be photos of outfits users see at thrift stores or on themselves, or even screenshots of outfits they see while scrolling through social media.

Once a user selects the outfit they want to visualize, Doppl will generate a virtual version of themselves wearing it. Doppl can also take these still images and turn them into AI-generated videos so users can get a better idea of how the outfit would look in real life.

Users can save their favorite styles and browse through all their other virtual try-ons. Users can also share their styles with others.

Google says the new app builds on Google Shopping's recently launched features that let you virtually try on clothes. By launching this functionality in a standalone app, Google is making it more accessible while allowing people to explore their style in a fun and interactive way. It could also help Google collect more data on how apps like this work to inform its future efforts in this area.

While Google has offered virtual try-on technology before, previous features focused on showing items on various models' bodies. The Doppl app, on the other hand, lets users try on clothes on their own bodies.

According to Google, Doppl will help users explore their style in new and exciting ways. Since Doppl is in beta, it is unclear when or if Google plans to bring the app to other markets./.
