RON95-III gasoline price increased slightly, reaching nearly 20,600 VND per liter

From 3:00 p.m. on December 12, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND3/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND33/liter. At the same time, diesel oil decreased by VND127/liter; kerosene decreased by VND251/liter; and fuel oil decreased by VND551/liter.

The price of E5 RON92 gasoline and other oil products decreased during today's operating period (December 12), while RON95-III gasoline increased slightly.

Specifically, according to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, from 3:00 p.m., the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 3 VND/liter, to 19,861 VND/liter; diesel decreased by 127 VND/liter, to 18,255 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 251 VND/liter, the new price is 18,566 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 551 VND, to 15,574 VND/kg.

However, RON95-III gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, the new price is 20,596 VND/liter.

During this period, the joint ministries did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was VND 3,080 billion, unchanged from the most recent announcement period.

In the most recent adjustment (December 5), E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND24/liter. However, RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND294/liter; diesel decreased by VND395/liter; kerosene decreased by VND325/liter and fuel oil remained stable.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
