Gasoline prices continue to increase, RON 95 exceeds 21,000 VND/liter

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced an adjustment in gasoline prices from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, January 9, with a uniform increase across all products.

Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline has a new price of 20,431 VND/liter, an increase of 374 VND/liter compared to the current price.

Similarly, RON 95-III gasoline has a new price of VND 21,019/liter, an increase of VND 273/liter.

The new price of diesel 0.05S is 19,243 VND/liter, an increase of 488 VND/liter. The new price of kerosene is 19,244 VND/liter, an increase of 410 VND/liter compared to the current price; the price of fuel oil 180CST 3.5S is adjusted to 16,182 VND/kg, an increase of 83 VND/kg.

In this management period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the gasoline price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world oil market during the period from January 2 to January 9 is affected by many factors with the main upward trend.

That is the strong increase of the US dollar, the increase of US oil inventories, China's economic stimulus plan, the continuing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine...

Therefore, the prices of petroleum products tend to increase by 2-3% for gasoline and about 3% for oil.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said the time for petrol traders to adjust is 3:00 p.m. today, January 9.

The Ministry said that in order to adjust gasoline prices, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and supervise the implementation of the responsibility of ensuring gasoline supply for the market by gasoline traders and will strictly handle violations.

This is the second consecutive time that gasoline prices have increased since the beginning of this year.
