In particular, for the route from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, if passengers depart on August 30, the current ticket price being offered by Vietnam Airlines is the lowest from 3.79 million VND/trip (including taxes and fees).
If you fly with one stop from Ho Chi Minh City to Cam Ranh, then connect to Hanoi, Vietnam Airlines is selling the lowest price at 3.64 million VND/leg.
If flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi departing on August 31 (Sunday), the ticket price will cool down but will still be very high, such as Pacific Airlines selling from 2.8 million VND/trip; while Vietnam Airlines has a high price of 3.79 million VND/trip.

On Vietjet's website, air tickets between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are also being sold a lot, with the lowest price of about 5.4 million VND round trip/passenger during the September 2 holiday.
Similarly, Bamboo Airways is also selling tickets for passengers wishing to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi during the holiday, but the lowest ticket price is up to 6.8 million VND round trip/passenger.
In general, the ticket prices for the September 2nd holiday that airlines are selling are the same as those for Tet, and much higher than normal days. The reason is that the demand of people and tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and the Central and Southern provinces flocking to Hanoi on the September 2nd holiday to watch the parade is very high.

Hanoi is a "feverish" destination during the September 2nd holiday
According to the latest data from the travel platform Booking.com, Hanoi is the most searched destination by Vietnamese people during the National Day holiday (from August 29 to September 3, 2025). This destination has risen from 7th place to No. 1 compared to the same period last year.
Hanoi's increased appeal was noted across all tourist groups, with the capital leading in searches by family travelers (up from 14th), groups of friends (up from 9th), couples (up from 7th) and solo travelers (up from 2nd).
This long National Day holiday will be solemnly celebrated in Hanoi with a series of large-scale activities. Notable among them are the preliminary parade and march on August 27, the general rehearsal on August 30 and the official State parade and march on September 2.

At the regular Government Press Conference on August 7, the Ministry of National Defense informed about the preparations for the parade on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2. Accordingly, the leader of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army said that the organization of the parade during the celebration has been assigned by the Central Committee to the Ministry of National Defense to preside over, coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi City and related departments, ministries, branches, agencies and units and will be carried out at Ba Dinh Square on the morning of September 2.
