Update the latest gold price today June 15, 2025 on the world market

World gold price, at 8:30 a.m. on June 15, 2025 (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 3,430.49 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 46.37 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,223 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 112.8 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Compared to the domestic SJC gold bar price on the same day (117.8-120.3 million VND/tael), the current SJC gold price is about 7.5 million higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices on June 14, 2025, on the world market are increasing sharply due to many political and economic instability factors. Specifically, the spot gold price increased by 1.3%, reaching 3,428.10 USD per ounce. This price is close to the highest peak ever recorded at 3,500.05 USD in April. This week, the gold price increased by about 4%, showing the great attraction of this precious metal when the world faces many fluctuations.

The main reason for the rise in gold prices is that investors are rushing to buy gold as a safe haven asset. On Friday, Israel carried out airstrikes on targets in Iran, including nuclear facilities and missile factories. These actions have raised concerns about a larger conflict in the Middle East. According to market expert Daniel Pavilonis, these tensions have led many to seek protection from gold, and gold prices may continue to rise as the market waits for Iran's response.

In addition, the economic situation in the US also contributes to making gold more attractive. Recent data shows that inflation in the US is decreasing, which increases expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may lower interest rates in the near future. When interest rates are low, gold is often more popular because it is not under pressure from other interest-bearing investments such as bonds. This makes gold even more "valuable" in the eyes of investors.

Major institutions are also bullish on gold. Goldman Sachs predicts that gold prices could reach $3,700 an ounce by the end of 2025 and even $4,000 by mid-2026, thanks to strong central bank demand. Bank of America (BofA) also believes that gold prices could rise to $4,000 in the next 12 months. However, in major Asian markets such as India, physical demand has been subdued as prices have surged past the psychologically important 100,000 rupee mark.

In addition to gold, other precious metals such as silver, platinum and palladium also fluctuated. Silver prices fell slightly by 0.3% to $36.27 per ounce, but still gained 0.9% for the week. Platinum fell sharply by 5.9% to $1,219.03, although it still gained 4.8% for the week. Palladium fell 1.3% to $1,041.51 and lost 1.1% for the week. These fluctuations show that the precious metals market is strongly influenced by the global geopolitical and economic situation.

Gold price forecast today 6/15/2025

Since June 15, 2025 is Sunday, the international and domestic gold markets will be closed, so the gold price will remain at the level recorded at the end of June 14, 2025:

World gold price: About 3,430.49 USD/ounce (equivalent to 112.8 million VND/tael, excluding taxes and fees).

Domestic gold price:

SJC gold bars: 117.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.3 million VND/tael (sell).

PNJ gold ring: 114 million VND/tael (buy) - 116.8 million VND/tael (sell).

Systems such as Mi Hong, Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy: Prices are similar to SJC, fluctuating around 117.8-120.3 million VND/tael.

If geopolitical tensions in the Middle East escalate or there are more positive signals about interest rate cuts from the Fed, the world gold price may continue to increase, heading towards the resistance level of 3,500 USD/ounce. Domestically, the price of SJC gold may maintain a difference of 7-8 million VND/tael compared to the international price, reaching about 121-123 million VND/tael.

Profit-taking pressure after a strong 4% increase last week, along with the possibility of a recovery in the USD if the US CPI data (expected to be released on Wednesday, June 18, 2025) shows higher-than-expected inflation, could push gold prices down to $3,300–$3,350/ounce. Domestic gold prices could slightly adjust to VND116–119 million/tael.

Since the market is closed on Sunday, investors should wait for fresh signals on Monday, June 16, 2025. If gold prices correct lower, this could be a buying opportunity, especially if geopolitical tensions persist.

Note: Gold price forecast is for reference only and may change depending on actual developments. Investors should carefully consider risk factors before making a decision.
