Domestic rice market remains stable
In the Mekong Delta, rice prices today generally fluctuated little. Raw rice prices remained at familiar levels, such as IR 504 and CL 555 at around VND8,000 - 8,100/kg, OM 380 fluctuated at VND7,450 - 7,550/kg, OM 18 reached VND8,500 - 8,600/kg, while OM 5451 remained at around VND7,700 - 7,900/kg.
In the finished rice segment, IR 504 is commonly sold at around VND9,500 - 9,700/kg, while OM 380 is sold at VND8,800 - 9,000/kg. By-products such as OM 504 broken rice and rice bran remain stable at around VND7,300 - 9,000/kg, only slightly up from last weekend.
Slow transactions, cautious traders
Many localities such as An Giang , Dong Thap and Vinh Long recorded quite quiet buying and selling activities. Traders were cautious in purchasing because the supply of autumn-winter rice was not much, while farmers offered high prices.

In Can Tho, Vinh Long, Ca Mau and Tay Ninh, fresh rice prices remained stable at around VND5,000 - 6,200/kg, depending on the variety. IR 504 rice fluctuated at VND5,000 - 5,100/kg, OM 18 at VND5,600 - 5,800/kg, Dai Thom 8 at VND5,700 - 5,800/kg. OM 5451 and Nang Hoa 9 varieties fluctuated at VND5,900 - 6,200/kg, while OM 308 was around VND5,700 - 5,900/kg.
Retail rice prices remain stable
In the retail market, rice prices remained almost unchanged from last weekend. Nang Nhen rice remained at the highest level of VND28,000/kg, while Huong Lai rice was commonly VND22,000/kg. Other types of rice such as Jasmine, Taiwan, Soc or Nhat remained in the range of VND16,000 - 22,000/kg, ensuring stability for domestic consumption demand.
The upward trend of rice export prices
In contrast to the domestic market, export rice prices are showing signs of increasing again. According to the Vietnam Food Association, 5% broken fragrant rice is priced at 445-450 USD/ton, up 5 USD compared to last weekend. Jasmine rice also recorded a slight increase of 2 USD, fluctuating between 496-498 USD/ton. Meanwhile, 100% broken rice remains stable at 318-322 USD/ton.
This upward trend reflects strong demand from the international market, opening up opportunities for the Vietnamese rice industry to continue expanding exports, especially in the context of growing demand for high-quality rice in many countries.
