Specifically: leaker Ice Universe said that Samsung could equip the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera with a variable aperture. This feature is said to be only available on the phone's main camera.

This feature was previously introduced on the Galaxy S9 and S9+. These phones can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4, depending on the ambient light. Choosing the f/1.5 aperture setting lets in more light. The f/2.4 aperture is ideal for daytime conditions when there is no low light or when you need a wider field of focus.

This dual aperture feature was also present on the Galaxy S10 series but Samsung also removed it when it launched the S20 series. And now it seems that the company is planning to bring variable aperture to the Galaxy S26 series.

Accordingly, a source on X said that Samsung wants to use an under-screen camera for its next flagship model. Currently, this technology is also equipped on the Galaxy Z Fold line and users can expect an improvement in quality on the next generation Galaxy S Ultra model.

Previously, there were rumors that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be called the Galaxy S26 Note. In addition, the source also said that the device will have a brighter and more efficient display than its predecessor, along with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and an Exynos chipset.
