The railway opens ticket sales for the Hanoi - Hai Phong route to serve people traveling during Tet, applying a ticket discount policy for social and policy beneficiaries.
The Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch said it has started selling passenger train tickets for the Hanoi - Hai Phong route to serve people traveling during Tet. Accordingly, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025, all trains will depart and arrive at Hanoi station. Trains run regularly every day: Hanoi - Hai Phong includes trains HP1, LP3, LP5, LP7; Hai Phong - Hanoi includes trains HP2, LP4, LP6, LP8.

In addition to the regular trains, the following trains will run on the route: On January 24, 25, and 26, 2025, train LP9 will run. Train LP9 departs from Ha Hoi station at 7:15 a.m. and arrives at Hai Phong station at 10:07 a.m. On February 1 and 2, 2025, train LP10 will run. Train LP10 departs from Hai Phong station at 4:20 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 7:03 p.m. The fare for the round trip ranges from 130,000 to 150,000 VND/ticket/trip depending on the train and the date, time, and seat location on the train. The train accepts luggage, bicycles, and motorbikes to and from Hai Phong, Hai Duong , Cam Giang, Gia Lam stations (except for trains HP1/HP2), Long Bien (only bicycles and luggage), and Hanoi. The train picks up and drops off passengers at Thuong Ly, Phu Thai, Hai Duong, Cam Giang, Gia Lam, and Long Bien stations. On this occasion, the railway continues to apply a ticket discount policy for social and policy beneficiaries. Accordingly, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and revolutionary activists before the August 19, 1945 uprising receive a 90% discount on ticket prices. War invalids, people enjoying the same policies as war invalids, resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; people with severe disabilities and people with severe disabilities receive a 30% discount on ticket prices. Senior citizens who are Vietnamese citizens aged 60 and over receive a 15% discount on ticket prices. Children aged 6 to 10 receive a 25% discount on ticket prices. Children under 6 traveling with an adult are exempt from tickets. Children exempt from tickets must share seats with an accompanying adult. Each adult is allowed to be accompanied by no more than two children exempt from tickets.
