Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route in top 10 busiest domestic routes in the world

(QNgTV)- The number of flights and passengers through Noi Bai Airport is increasing during the peak summer season but still ensures aviation security and safety.

According to Noi Bai International Airport, the route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with departure and arrival points at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat, is continuously among the top 10 busiest domestic routes in the world .

In the first 6 months of 2025, the passenger traffic through Noi Bai International Airport reached 16.5 million, the total number of flights taking off and landing reached more than 100,000. Notably, Noi Bai International Passenger Terminal T2 served more than 7 million international passengers in the first 6 months of the year, operating beyond its design capacity when the current service capacity of Noi Bai Terminal T2 is 10 million passengers/year and is under construction to expand to 15 million passengers/year.
