The super beautiful road along Thi Nai lagoon, costing over 519 billion VND, accelerates to the finish line

(VTC News) - The Thi Nai lagoon road costing over 519 billion VND connecting the coastal city of Quy Nhon - Diem Van urban area (Gia Lai) is accelerating towards the finish line, opening up urban and tourism development in Binh Dinh.

Among a series of key projects in Gia Lai, the road connecting Dien Bien Phu Street (Quy Nhon Dong Ward) to Diem Van Urban and Eco -tourism Area (Tuy Phuoc Commune) is a key piece, solving the problem of urban connectivity, while awakening the potential of the Thi Nai lagoon area.

The project was approved by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province (old) in Decision No. 4486/QD-UBND dated October 30, 2020 with a total investment of nearly 520 billion VND. The total length of the entire route is 1.59km, with the starting point intersecting with the new National Highway 19 at Km6+734; the end point intersecting with the belt road in Diem Van Urban Area.

The route started construction in August 2021 and has achieved 97.80% progress, including 3 construction packages with values of VND 169.50 billion; VND 192.96 billion and VND 8.77 billion respectively. The entire project is expected to be completed in August 2025 and accepted and put into operation in 2025.

The entire route has a 20.5 meter wide roadbed, is a level II urban traffic route, ensuring load-bearing capacity and high-speed traffic.

The road surface is paved with asphalt concrete, clearly divided into motor vehicle road surface and mixed vehicle road surface, with a median strip in the middle to create safety and aesthetics.

Currently, the contractor has completed the asphalt concrete pavement, lighting system, trees along the entire route and is carrying out the construction of auxiliary traffic safety items.

At the same time, the construction of two large traffic bridges has been completed, which are special highlights on the route: Nhon Binh Bridge and Cho Goc Bridge. The construction of the two bridges creates a smooth, uninterrupted flow of traffic, thereby optimizing transportation time and costs.

The project's commencement date encountered many difficulties in site clearance, however, with compensation and resettlement being accelerated, ensuring legitimate rights for the people, the entire "clean site" has now been handed over to the construction contractors.

After many years of construction, the project is entering the final stage, ensuring it is ready to go into operation in 2025. At the construction site, contractors are mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery to complete the remaining items such as asphalt carpeting, aesthetic finishing and painting of railing edges.

Mr. Luu Nhat Phong, Director of the Project Management Board of Traffic and Civil Works of Gia Lai province, informed that this project not only helps people move faster and more conveniently but is also an important "link" in connecting key economic areas. At the same time, it will reduce traffic pressure on inner-city routes, especially National Highway 19, thereby making the circulation of goods and people easier.

"The route is a lever to develop Diem Van Urban and Eco-tourism Area, a large project with an area of 177 hectares and a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND. At the same time, the route creates a connection with other key traffic projects in the region, forming a complete traffic network, promoting trade, attracting investment and creating jobs for local people," Mr. Luu Nhat Phong informed.
