Ho Chi Minh City and tourism and travel businesses are ready to serve the National Day on September 2 with a diverse range of products from green tourism, beach resorts... to attractive A80 event tours.

In the atmosphere of celebrating National Day September 2, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department is preparing conditions to serve domestic and foreign tourists.

In particular, local tourism and accommodation businesses are focusing on improving the quality of destinations, adding new experiences and human resources to serve the expected surge in visitors during this year's holiday.

Refreshing local tourist destinations

According to the reality in Vung Tau ward, there are currently a variety of tourism products serving tourists including beach resorts, spiritual tourism, historical-revolutionary tourism, along with a system of hotels, resorts, villas, Ho May amusement park, island tours... that have been attracting tourists to book before the National Day on September 2.

Infrastructure systems such as public toilets, smart parking lots, lighting systems, etc. have also been improved and enhanced to serve visitors and tourists, which are expected to increase dramatically during this holiday.

According to Mr. Dau The Anh, General Director of Vung Tau Cable Car Tourism Joint Stock Company, Ho Chi Minh City, Ho May Tourist Area has prepared infrastructure and human resources to welcome guests on the occasion of September 2.

In particular, popular and crowded areas such as Katinat coffee area, Suoi ben bien, In the sea... are enhanced to ensure product quality and destination safety to serve tourists for entertainment and accommodation.

Coming to Ho May Tourist Area on September 2nd this year, visitors can also experience the program to celebrate the administrative day such as the water music show and Ho May show or the Night Safari tour...

Grasping the demand for green tourism trends, Sol Retreat Farm 2 coffee chain, Thuong Tan commune, Ho Chi Minh City focuses on renovating, improving green spaces and adding more "check-in" corners for customers to have a more beautiful experience such as terraced fields, reed grass roads, corn mazes, Northwest bamboo forests...

The highlight of this year’s September 2nd holiday at Sol Retreat Farm 2 is the cultural program and activities imbued with the Northwest culture with many typical culinary combos, prepared in a new style for visitors to enjoy while visiting. Families or guests staying at the hotel can experience some activities such as fishing, garden tours, classes… about the Northwest culture.

Speaking to VNA reporters, Mr. Huynh Phi Khanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Tram Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the locality has developed a specific plan, including the support of businesses, to provide products to serve tourists before, during and after the September 2nd holiday.

“On the occasion of September 2 this year, Ho Tram commune focuses on key issues such as ensuring good environmental sanitation, security and order, price listing of goods, and establishing 3 working groups to continuously inspect and rectify tourism activities in the area during the holiday. Thereby, ensuring a healthy and friendly tourism environment, attracting and retaining tourists in the coming time, not just on September 2 this year,” Mr. Huynh Phi Khanh emphasized.

Combining tour on September 2nd holiday and A80 event

Most travel and tourism businesses assess that the domestic market during the September 2nd holiday this year was more active than the same period in previous years, especially tours to Hanoi and neighboring areas.

This shows that tourists are eagerly awaiting the A80 event that will take place in the capital on September 2, with the tour group that most attracts tourists being the Hanoi city tour and the inter-tour including Imprints following Uncle Ho's footsteps (Hanoi-Thai Nguyen-Tuyen Quang), Remembering October Autumn (Hanoi-Tuyen Quang)...

Ms. Tran Bao Thu, Marketing and Communications Director, Vietluxtour Travel Company, Ho Chi Minh City, said that in order to serve domestic and international tourists on the occasion of September 2, the company prepared products and services very early and currently the package tour group visiting Hanoi and surrounding areas is full of guests.

On the other hand, the company introduces to tourists a variety of “Vietnam in the new era” tours with diverse and unique itineraries according to the new tourism map of 34 provinces and cities. Tour prices on September 2 this year, depending on the route, will increase by 5-10% due to the increase in prices of some services such as air tickets, hotels, restaurants, etc.

The latest quick report of Viet Tourism Media Joint Stock Company (Viet Tourism) at its branches on the business situation on the occasion of September 2 this year shows that the demand for tour bookings has grown impressively compared to the same period last year. The total number of customers registering for tours is estimated to have increased by 15%.

During the September 2nd holiday this year, domestic tourism dominated with a sudden increase in the Northern routes, especially Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Sa Pa, Moc Chau... stemming from the attraction of the A80 event.

Many positive market signals are motivating the tourism and travel business community in Ho Chi Minh City to accelerate the promotion of products and services and increase business opportunities in the days leading up to the September 2 holiday.

Typically, digital travel platform Agoda (Agoda) recorded a surge in domestic tourists' interest in Hanoi, more than tripling compared to the same period last year, and the number of searches for Hanoi from international tourists increased by 84%.

On the other hand, Agoda statistics show that during this year's September 2nd holiday, heritage tourism continues to be the dominant trend, as travelers seek vacations that are culturally rich, easy to travel to, and rich in authentic experiences of local life.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, Country Director of Agoda in Vietnam, shared: The 80th National Day is a great historical milestone, and at the same time a special opportunity for visitors to fully experience the diverse cultural atmosphere of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.

Regarding the September 2nd holiday tour combined with the A80 event, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism and travel business community encourages visitors to book services early if they want to participate in the live program. Visitors should choose reputable tourism and travel agencies to ensure service quality.

On the side of the industry management agency, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the Department has coordinated with wards and communes in the area to prepare the best conditions, ensuring security and safety for tourists coming to the city on the occasion of September 2 this year.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has worked with wards and communes with key destinations attracting domestic and foreign tourists, strengthening connections with the business community in the city to deploy services for tourists during the September 2 holiday, the A80 event and in the last months of 2025.

“The Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry hopes that during the September 2nd holiday this year, visitors to Ho Chi Minh City will experience the new space of a dynamic, developed, modern city… but still has its own identity and is hospitable to tourists. In particular, the city’s tourism and travel business community is not only ready to welcome tourists but also to launch a variety of incentive programs, stimulate demand and bring unique experiences of the Southeast region,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa./.
