After nearly 2 years of construction, the Le Quang Dao extended road project connecting Nam Tu Liem district with Ha Dong ( Hanoi ) has taken shape, expected to open to traffic in December 2024.

The investment project to build Le Quang Dao Street, extending from Thang Long Avenue, Nam Tu Liem District to the boundary with Duong Noi Urban Area, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City, will start construction in early 2023.

The project is 2.6km long. The starting point of the project is at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Thang Long Avenue, the end point is at Duong Noi Urban Area (Ha Dong District). The project has a total investment of nearly 750 billion VND, of which the site clearance part is more than 163 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District.

After nearly 2 years of construction, according to Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, the project site is still in disarray in many places. The road surface structure from Sa Doi Street to the end of the route is not yet complete.

Meanwhile, the intersection of Thang Long Avenue to Dai Linh Street (Me Tri Ward) has basically completed the lighting system, asphalt pavement and sidewalk paving.

A representative of the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the contractors committed to completing related items and putting the project into use in December if weather conditions are favorable.

The contract to complete this project is signed in June 2025, so contractors are focusing on completing the project before this deadline.

Previously, the project was expected to be completed on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10), but the progress and quality of the project were greatly affected by heavy rain, leading to the progress not being achieved.

It is known that according to the design, the extended Le Quang Dao route will have inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h. The typical cross-section of the road is 40m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section width of 100m.
