Tourists enjoy the high-quality train Hanoi - Dong Hoi

On August 11, at Dong Hoi station, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province coordinated with the railway industry to welcome the high-quality train JQB1 on its first journey from Hanoi to Quang Tri. This is a new transport product aimed at improving service quality and diversifying the experience for passengers and has been highly appreciated.

Accordingly, train JQB1 departed from Hanoi station at 8:05 p.m. on August 10 and arrived at Dong Hoi station at 7:00 a.m. on August 11. In the opposite direction, train JQB2 departed from Dong Hoi station at 3:20 p.m. and arrived at Hanoi station at 4:15 a.m. the next morning.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province presented flowers to passengers.

The train consists of 13 carriages with 6 sleeper carriages, 5 seat carriages, 1 dining carriage and 1 generator carriage. All are manufactured in Vietnam with advanced technology, meeting high safety and comfort standards. The interior is modernly designed with 360-degree rotating seats, beds with integrated TVs, zone-adjustable air conditioning, wifi connection, vacuum cleaning system, ABS brakes and axle temperature gauges.

Flowers to the train driver

On the JQB1 train to Dong Hoi, there were 180 passengers, most of whom were tourists from Hanoi and the northern provinces. Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuc (Hanoi) shared: “I chose to take the train because I wanted to enjoy the scenery along the way. In particular, the Central region is considered one of the most beautiful railway routes in the world , making the trip very memorable and impressive. The staff were welcoming and polite.”

Passengers disembark

At the reception, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri and the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center presented flowers, souvenirs and wished the passengers a safe journey and many interesting experiences. Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri, said: "The operation of the high-quality train JQB1/JQB2 will help connect the capital city and Quang Tri more conveniently, while creating conditions for tourists to explore the local heritage and scenic spots, promoting sustainable tourism development".

According to the railway industry, this is one of the important steps in combining railway transport with typical tourism products of the Central region, contributing to diversifying choices and enhancing the experience of tourists.
