Special move of Thai Nguyen T&T Club President before National Cup final

Thai Nguyen T&T Women's Club has reached the final of the 2024 Women's National Cup after a 2-0 victory over Ha Nam in the semi-finals.

Coach Van Thi Thanh and her team only finished second in Group B with 1 win and 1 loss and entered the semi-finals as runners-up. However, against an opponent who had won all 3 group stage matches like Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen T&T played reasonably and effectively to defeat their opponent with a score of 2-0.

Coach Van Thi Thanh's reasonable defensive counter-attack strategy, relying on explosive players like Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy and Ngoc Minh Chuyen, brought the tea country team to the final of the Women's National Cup for the first time.

Thai Nguyen T&T women's team entered the final of the 2024 National Cup

If they defeat Vietnam Coal and Minerals in the final match tomorrow afternoon (December 13), the Thai Nguyen T&T women's team will be crowned champions, thus owning the first official title in history. To encourage the players' spirit, Chairman Do Vinh Quang of the Thai Nguyen T&T women's team has given the players a bonus of 560 million VND before the final. In case of winning the championship, Bich Thuy and her teammates will receive additional bonuses from the organizing committee and businesses.

Thai Nguyen T&T Club has transformed itself in 5 years thanks to proper investment. The tea team successfully recruited defender Nguyen Thi My Anh and striker Le Hoai Luong from the Ho Chi Minh City women's team. For the first time, the definition of "contract fee" (or signing bonus) appeared in Vietnamese women's football. The treatment of players has been improved, with better nutrition and training regimes than before.

After 2 years, the tea team continued to bring in Tran Thi Kim Thanh (current Vietnam Golden Ball), Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy (current Vietnam Bronze Ball) and Tran Thi Thu. Thai Nguyen T&T women's club finished third for the first time in the national championship in the same year, breaking the "tripod" position of Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam Coal and Minerals.

Before participating in the National Cup, the Thai Nguyen T&T women's team appointed coach Van Thi Thanh and assistant goalkeeper coach Doan Thi Kim Chi. The team won the Hanoi 2024 International Friendly Tournament by defeating Beijing, Manila Diggers FC and Hanoi.
