Evidence of friendship between Russian and Vietnamese teachers and students
The exhibition displays about 90 paintings, graphics, sculptures and decorative arts by artists of many generations - from great names in Soviet and Russian fine arts, to Vietnamese students who have studied at Russian art academies from 1962 to the present.
A special highlight of the exhibition is the display of 5 works by painter, People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan, father of Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly - one of the first Vietnamese students to study in the Soviet Union since the 1960s.
After years of studying in the Soviet Union, Mr. Ngo Manh Lan became a great animator and respected teacher of many generations of students.
Many Vietnamese children grew up with famous animated films by People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan such as "The Adventures of a Cricket" (1959) , "The Cat's Tet" (1970), "The Talking Starling" (1970) and other works.
As soon as she entered the main hall of the Exhibition Room, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly was deeply moved when she saw her father's works, which were created by the late People's Artist Ngo Manh Lan while he was studying in Russia with the peaceful landscape of Russia.
“I believe that, in another world, my father is very happy to see today's event,” said Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly.
At the same time, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly also expressed her belief that looking at the works, one can see that he had a happy time during his years in Russia, with peaceful memories of internships or field trips in Russia, which he loved so much, which can be seen through the simple, warm works being displayed at the Exhibition.
Touched by the affection and respect from Russia for the delegation, for the works of generations of Vietnamese artists in general and the works of painter Ngo Manh Lan in particular, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly affirmed that the exhibition is a testament to the friendship between Russian and Vietnamese teachers and students.
Besides, the exhibition vividly reflected the Vietnam - Russia friendship, and showed good results in training cooperation in general and fine arts training between the two countries in particular.
The Lady emphasized that our mission is to continue this flow to step together strongly into the future of the two countries whose beautiful histories have connected us through many generations.
In a cultural gesture, the Lady presented the Academy with a painting by a Vietnamese artist on Do paper with a sunny landscape chosen by the Lady to convey the message that tomorrow will always be warm and bright like the sunshine for the relationship between Vietnam and Russia.
