As of the evening of August 24, the movie “Red Rain” has officially reached the 100 billion VND mark according to Box Office Vietnam. This is an unprecedented box office achievement for the war film genre in Vietnam.
From the afternoon to the evening of the 24th, the film's revenue increased rapidly, averaging about 2 billion VND per hour. Data from Google Trends shows that the province or city searching for the keyword "Red Rain" the most is Hanoi - where the peak of training activities, preliminary/general rehearsals for the A80 parade are taking place. Second is Quang Tri - the tragic land where the film is set.
In which, Hanoi's score of 100/100 corresponds to the highest level of interest and is a measure for other provinces and cities. Quang Tri 76 is equivalent to 76% of the interest compared to Hanoi, Hai Phong 70%... The peak search time is 22:20 and 23:56.

In addition, some other provinces and cities in the North and North Central regions such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Da Nang... are also in the top 10 most searched. Ho Chi Minh City ranked 12th.

The least interactive areas are mainly in the Western region such as Tra Vinh, Ben Tre, Vinh Long... or the South Central and Southern regions such as Binh Thuan and Tay Ninh.
“Red Rain” had early screenings from Thursday night, August 21, and by the end of its first day of release (August 22), it had earned 40 billion VND. In just the following two days, Saturday and Sunday, the film earned an additional 60 billion VND.
This heat also helped social media posts about “Red Rain” gain high interaction. However, many posts discussed in depth and detail, some even recorded videos and took pictures of the work to post, forcing the crew to speak up and call on the audience not to reveal the film’s content.

With the September 2nd holiday and large-scale celebration activities taking place, “Red Rain” revenue is expected to continue to increase.
Many observers believe that the film could reach or exceed the 300 billion VND mark to rank in the top 6 of Vietnamese cinema revenue, just behind the films of Tran Thanh and Ly Hai.
The box office performance of “Red Rain ” also became a new milestone for the September 2nd film season, which was less prominent than the Tet and April 30th holidays.
Currently, “Red Rain” continues to be shown in theaters with an overwhelming number of screenings (an average of more than 4,000 screenings per day), so audiences can easily choose suitable times at the nearest theater./.
