Newly established Lao Cai enterprises increased by 15%

According to data from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, by the end of August 2025, the province had 840 newly registered enterprises and 480 branches, an increase of 15% over the same period last year, with a total registered capital of VND 6,864.8 billion.

In August alone, the province granted new registration certificates to 195 enterprises and 64 branches, an increase of 15.5% over the same period, with a total registered capital of more than VND1,070 billion.

New businesses focus on agriculture , trade, services, tourism and construction. The above results show that support policies have been effective, creating momentum for increasing the number of newly established businesses as well as encouraging businesses to return to operation after a period of suspension.

29 drug cases busted during peak crime crackdown

During the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes and social evils from July to the end of August, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police deployed measures to attack and suppress drug crimes.

As a result, 29 cases/53 subjects were discovered and destroyed; nearly 8.3 kg of various drugs and many valuable evidences were seized. Typically, on August 5, three subjects were arrested, two heroin cakes with a total weight of 698.90 grams and 18.291 grams of various drugs were seized.

With a sense of responsibility and uncompromising fight against drug crimes, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department has gradually cleaned up the area, aiming to build a safe, healthy, drug-free living environment.

Produced over 649 million fish fry and fingerlings

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thai Nguyen province, in August 2025, the whole province produced about 5 million fish fry, 2.3 million fish seeds; the harvested aquatic product output reached 1,930 tons.

In the first eight months, the province produced 593 million fish fry and 56.4 million fish seeds, with aquatic product output reaching 13,630 tons, equal to 59.3% of the annual plan. Aquaculture production activities remained stable, ensuring both quality fish seed sources and making an important contribution to the growth of the agricultural sector.

In the coming time, the functional sector will focus on guiding farmers to apply advanced techniques, manage breeds, prevent diseases; encourage breed facilities to expand their scale, diversify products, continue to promote potential, increase income for farmers, and promote the province's agricultural economy.

Nearly 6,200 import and export vehicles cleared customs during the September 2 holiday

According to the Management Board of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, during the four-day National Day holiday (August 30 - September 2, 2025), functional forces completed procedures for nearly 6,200 vehicles carrying import and export goods through Huu Nghi and Chi Ma international border gates and the Tan Thanh dedicated road...

From the beginning of the year to September 2, more than 365,000 vehicles have been exported and imported through border gates in the area. Provincial authorities continue to implement many synchronous solutions to facilitate businesses, contributing to ensuring safe and fast circulation of goods, promoting foreign economic development.

Phu Tho exports first batch of frozen mangoes to Korea

Recently, in Thong Nhat ward, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Phu Tho province coordinated with Tien Ngan Investment and Trading Company Limited to organize a ceremony to export the province's first batch of frozen mangoes to the Korean market.

The company has cooperated with mango cooperatives in Son La and Hoa Binh to organize production, processing and consumption. After negotiations, Tien Ngan signed an export contract for 24 tons of mangoes, directly purchasing, processing, packaging and exporting.

Bringing mangoes to the Korean market not only opens up great opportunities for this product, but also creates conditions for many other agricultural products to access demanding markets, take advantage of free trade agreements, and contribute to increasing the value of local agricultural products.

Cao Bang welcomes nearly 75 thousand visitors on National Day September 2

During the four-day National Day holiday (August 30 - September 2), Cao Bang province welcomed more than 74.8 thousand visitors, an increase of 10.8% over the same period in 2024; including 2.8 thousand international visitors. Total tourism revenue reached 71.2 billion VND, an increase of more than 34%, with room occupancy rate of more than 56%.

Key destinations such as Pac Bo, Tran Hung Dao forest, Ban Gioc waterfall, Nguom Ngao cave... attract many tourists with many types of services following the criteria of "Green Cao Bang - Identity - Peace". On this occasion, the province organized many cultural and artistic activities..., attracting more than 5,000 visitors.

Notably, the work of ensuring security, order, safety, environmental sanitation and controlling service prices is carried out seriously, creating the image of a civilized and friendly destination.
