Youth Union members light candles in gratitude

On the evening of July 26, in commemoration of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to organize a candle lighting ceremony at 3 Martyrs' Cemeteries in Tan Ngai Ward, Long Duc Ward and Phu Tan Ward.

The candle lighting ceremony at the provincial martyrs cemetery in Phu Tan ward was attended by comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of the provincial People's Committee, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, organizations and 600 local cadres, soldiers, union members and youth.

Delegates, union members and youth solemnly observed a minute of silence, offered flowers and incense at the martyrs' monument, and released flower lanterns and lit candles on the martyrs' graves to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for socialism.

On this occasion, Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company to present 150 gifts of gratitude to policy families.

The candle lighting ceremony is an opportunity for the youth to express their gratitude to the heroes and martyrs and an opportunity for the youth of the whole province to demonstrate the spirit of " One province - One will - One action - One belief in victory" to continue the tradition, together foster revolutionary ideals, and build the homeland in the new stage of development.
