Actor Quoc Truong talks about rumors of having several hundred billion, affirms he is still not in love with anyone

- Your role as writer Son in "Ut Lan" seems to have little screen time, a difficult role to make a strong impression on the audience?

This is the director's intention, wanting to build the character Son as an open character, like a person with psychic abilities. The director did not want my character to be good from the beginning but to gamble on luck. If the film is successful and profitable to make a sequel, Son's role will be further developed because he is the backbone character, meaning the narrator revolving around the character Lan.

- In the movie, there is a detail of Son sleeping in a coffin. Normal people would be scared to see a coffin or just think about it, but what about you?

Superstitious people will be very afraid to act out the scene of lying in a coffin or having their picture placed on the altar. But I am different, I have understood the law of cause and effect and that has destroyed the superstitious view. I believe that if I sow good seeds, I will reap good fruits.

If I live a good life, lying in a coffin has nothing to do with bad luck. I am not afraid, but I still suffer from claustrophobia. Not to mention that filming takes a long time, so I feel stuffy, uncomfortable, and tired when my body has to stay in a fixed position. Every time I cut the camera, I crawl out and then go back in to continue filming, which is very tiring.

- Quoc Truong is still familiar to the audience with villainous roles, bad boys, romantic guys, how is it to play a gentle good boy this time?

Playing a good role is fun - that's from my perspective. As an actor, playing a good role is hard to enjoy. But because I've played too many villain roles and am used to heavy roles, switching to light roles is not easy.

If you don't know how to control your eyes, it's easy to play a villain. The character Son is very light to me, not much different from my previous roles, but if I'm not careful, this role won't be upright or gentle. Therefore, I have to focus on my eyes, I can't be careless.

Only Bao Thanh is not involved in any love rumors.

- I just read that you and your co-star Phuong Thanh, who plays Ut Lan, who is 13 years younger, are rumored to be in love all over social media. I wonder if this information is true or false?

Quoc Truong has always been involved in rumors with everyone he has acted with. Only Bao Thanh has not been rumored because everything is clear as day. But when I go to events or act with anyone, rumors arise so it's become a habit and nothing surprises me.

- I don't know when the rumor will come true because the question of whether he has a girlfriend has not been asked for many years. Or does Quoc Truong already have one but is still hiding it?

No! I'm single now, but someday it will come true. But I think fate is still important.

Quoc Truong's parents no longer urge their son to get married.

- Your mother is not impatient or urging anything?

My family used to pressure me a lot, but now I'm fed up with it (laughs). I let things happen. If fate doesn't come, how can you force it? So my parents let me live comfortably without putting pressure on me. Because if they force their child to get married, I'll be happy, not the child.

I also explained to my parents that whatever makes me happiest is fine and cannot be imposed. Therefore, my parents are quite open-minded about whether I have a wife or not.

- Or is it because you are so busy with business that you don't care about your personal life? I heard that Quoc Truong's assets are now very large, up to several hundred billion?

Who said that? I do business, especially in the restaurant industry, which requires showing off, unlike other fields. If you say you are not rich in real estate, no one will believe it. If you build dozens or hundreds of hotels, you cannot say you are poor. Meanwhile, many people in other fields are actually much richer than me, but they do not show off. Therefore, this wealth is really just an external assessment, not something that is inside.

The spicy noodle restaurant brand is not mine alone, I am a co-founder, so it is hard to say how much assets it has. All my value lies in the intangible, the brand value, not the tangible, like hundreds of billions or thousands of billions. Only the financial world can know how much money my brand is worth.

- In recent years, Quoc Truong has returned to act in many films, but mainly in the South, proving that he spends more time on films. However, 6 years have passed since the "Come Home, My Child" fever, and Quoc Truong has not returned to Hanoi to participate in any other TV series. What is the reason?

The first reason is that Vu is such an impressive role, so what if my return role is bad? At that time, it was easy for me to be judged as lucky. I was also afraid that the shadow of Vu's role was too big and difficult to overcome, but that only accounted for 30%. The remaining 70% was because my business was too much. I couldn't spend about half a year going to Hanoi to film like before.

As for a movie, if it takes a month to film, my main role only takes 15 days, so it's easier to arrange the time. The work at the company requires me to be present regularly and I also have to sign books or attend meetings or directly handle incidents. I can't spend too much time filming TV dramas. Even if there's a good role, I'll still accept it, it's just that I don't have as much time for TV dramas as before.

I think she is the future actress of Vietnamese cinema. It seems that I have a connection with an actress named Thanh (laughs) .

- Is Phuong Thanh's beauty the beauty that Quoc Truong likes?

I like the fragile, girly beauty that gives me a feeling of protection, the cute and petite type like Midu, Tam Tit for example, only about 1.60m or 1.62m tall (laughs). Being too manly is also good but I don't like it very much.

At 37, Quoc Truong is still single.

- So Quoc Truong has not loved anyone for many years?

I haven't been in love for a long time.

- Life seems boring, because besides business, he only acts in movies and doesn't date any girls....

I don't feel sad. Every weekend when I have free time, I go back to my hometown to be with my parents and my brother. It's very fun. If I had my own family, every time I have time, I would be happy to combine my small family with my big family.
